World Cup 2010 Quiz

World Cup 2010 Quiz

This complete pub quiz pack is themed around the 2010 World Cup and features seven entertaining rounds as follows...

Round 1: Picture Round - World Cup Flags
This picture round features 15 footballs, each of which has been styled with the flag of a country competing in the 2010 World Cup. A few are nice and straightforward (e.g. Italy and Brazil) to ensure teams get up and running quickly on this round, but some less well known flags are included, so some guesswork may be required.

Round 2: The World Cup in History
10 questions for you to read out on the theme of previous World Cups.

Round 3: South Africa
10 questions on the theme of South Africa.

Round 4: World Cup Letter Link
10 World Cup themed questions, where the answer to the final question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of the first 9 answers.

Round 5: The 2010 World Cup
10 questions on the theme of the World Cup of 2010 and its qualifying campaign.

Round 6: England Surnames

10 general knowledge questions where each correct answer contains the surname of a footballer who played for England during the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Round 7: Penalty Shoot Out
The final round, in which teams are faced with 10 World Cup themed questions, each of which includes two possible answers to choose between. Questions are worth 2 points each and teams can choose not to answer some questions, because if they put down a wrong answer then they score 0 for this round!

The quiz is made up of 4 separate files as follows...

First of all there is a specially designed 2 page World Cup answer sheet, which you can print out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.

Secondly, there is the handout round, which again is to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.

Next there is a 4 page sheet featuring all the questions in rounds 2 to 7 for you to read out during the quiz, along with all the answers to these plus the answers to the handout round to be used at the end of the quiz to mark everyone's answers. This also features 2 World Cup themed tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score.

Finally, there is a 4 page sheet featuring detailed round by round instructions and notes, plus general advice and recommendations on running the quiz.

If you buy this quiz, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. These will contain all of the material described above. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
