Bonfire Night Quiz 2

New for 2016, this complete pub quiz pack was specially compiled with a Bonfire Night theme throughout, so is particularly suitable for quizzes run on or around November 5th. It features 8 high quality rounds as follows...

Round 1: Fire
This handout round is split into 3 sections. The first section features photos of 5 effigies of famous celebrities to be burned on bonfire night and the aim is to name the celebrities. The section section features 5 photos of firework displays and the aim is to name the cities they are taking place in. The final section features extracts of lyrics from 5 songs with the word "fire" in their titles, and the aim for teams is to name these songs.

Round 2: Hot Stuff
10 questions on the theme of "hot", such as "Red Hot was the opening round on which TV game show, which was broadcast on BBC One between 1991 to 2002?"

Round 3: Connections
2 sets of 4 questions on General Knowledge, with questions 5 and 10 asking for a Bonfire Night related connection between the previous 4 answers.

Round 4: Fire In The Movies
10 questions on fire in the movies, such as "In which Alfred Hitchcock film does Mrs Danvers set fire to a country estate called Manderley?"

Round 5: Initial Letter Link
10 Bonfire Night themed questions, where the answer to the final question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of the first 9 answers.

Round 6: Guys
10 questions on "Guy"s, such as "Moonlighting as a bounty hunter, what was the main job of Lee Majors' character, Colt Seavers, in the 1980s TV series The Fall Guy?"

Round 7: Remember, Remember the 5th of November
10 questions on events that all took place on November 5th, such as "On November 5th of what year did Buckingham Palace announce that Princess Diana was pregnant with her first child?"

Round 8: Double or Quits
10 Bonfire Night themed questions such as "What is the minimum age you must be to buy fireworks in the UK?". 2 points are awarded for correct answers, but teams can leave answers blank as any wrong answers means a score of zero for the round!

This pub quiz pack is made up of 6 separate files as follows...

First of all there is a 2 page answer sheet that you can print out and hand out to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.

Secondly, there is the picture round. Again you can can print this out and hand it out to teams at the start of your quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.

Next there is a 6 page document with all of the questions in rounds 2 to 8 for you to read out, along with all the answers to these and the answers to the handout round. This also features 2 tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score, along with a set of substitute questions to help you tailor the difficulty level of your quiz.

There is also another version of this 6 page document, but where all of the answers have been removed. This may not be needed, but is included in case the quizmaster would like to take part in the quiz too.

Finally, there is a quizmaster's scoresheet to help keep track of teams' scores.
