Missing Lyrics - Love

This handout round features 20 extracts of lyrics from famous songs, where the title of the song is blanked out where it would have appeared in the lyric. Also each song title contains the word "love" which might make this round particularly appropriate if used around Valentine's Day. The aim of the round is to identify the song titles along with the artists who first had a UK hit them.

Quite a few of these lyrics should be fairly easy to identify to get teams up and running quickly, but there are some which should take a fair bit of puzzling over and keep everyone entertained for some time. Also, by having the added clue that the word "love" is in the title and the blanked out lyrics, this might help teams work out the answers or arrive at educated guesses.

These lyrics could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
