American State Capitals 2

The second in our series of rounds of this type, this pub quiz handout round features a list of 10 American states along with a mixed up list of their capital cities, and a mixed up list of facts about each state (e.g. "Elvis Presley was born in this state"). The aim for teams in your quiz is to match up the correct capital cities and facts to the correct states.

The states were chosen so that most teams should be able to match up the correct cities to a few of them without too much trouble, but may need to use some guesswork to complete the list. For a lot of the facts, it may not be immediately obvious as to which state they match up with, but teams should be able to narrow most of them down to a just a few possible states, so a bit of deduction as well as a bit of guesswork may be needed to match all of these up.

While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round as it is likely to keep people occupied and entertained for a reasonable length of time.
