Cryptic Bands and Singers 9

Another in our series of cryptic bands and singers handout rounds, this features 15 phrases that can each be reworded to give a new phrase that is, or sounds like, the name of a famous band or singer. The aim for teams in your quiz is to give these names, with the number of letters in the words of these given as an extra help. For example, the correct answer to the clue "Lifting device lies atop third prime number (3, 7, 4)" is The Jackson Five, as the clue can be reworded as "the jack's on five".

A few of these cryptic clues are fairly straightforward, so most teams in your quiz should be able to get up and running on this round without too much trouble. However, there are also some tricky clues that could keep them guessing for some time.
