Dingbats 3

This handout round features 10 Dingbats clues with letters and words arranged in an unusual way. The aim is to work out the 10 well known phrases which are being described by these clues.

The following image shows an example of a clue, where the correct answer of the phrase being described is "put on weight". This is arrived at from the word "put" being "on" the word "ton", which is an example of a weight.

All of the phrases are well known and as an added clue the number of words in each phrase is given. Some are fairly straightforward to make sure all teams can get going on this round without too much trouble, but there are a few clues where a great deal of lateral thinking may be needed to arrive at the correct answer.
