New for 2023, this complete pub quiz pack was compiled with a Halloween theme throughout, so is especially suitable for quizzes run on or around October 31st. It features eight high-quality rounds as follows...
Round 1: Halloween Celebrities
A picture round featuring photos of 15 celebrities who have each been given a Halloween makeover to make them more difficult to recognise. The aim for teams in your quiz is to identify these celebrities.
Round 2: Witches and Wizards
Ten questions on witches and wizards, such as "Which Disney film was based on a 1944 children’s book by Mary Norton that has the subtitle How To Become A Witch In Ten Easy Lessons?"
Round 3: Connections
Nine questions on General Knowledge, plus a final question asking for a Halloween-related connection between the previous nine answers.
Round 4: High Fives
Two questions with a general Halloween theme, where each question asks for five answers and each individual answer is worth one point.
Round 5: Scream
Ten General Knowledge questions themed around the word "scream", such as "Nicknamed the Demon of Screamin', Steven Tyler is best known as the lead singer of which rock group?"
Round 6: Horror Films
Ten questions on horror films, such as "In the film Carrie, a bucket full of what is emptied on the title character when she is on stage at her school prom?... a) pig's blood; b) sheep's blood; or c) cow's blood?"
Round 7: Trick Or Treat
Ten questions on General Knowledge that each have two answers to choose from. In each case, one answer might seem obvious, but it might not be the correct answer. An example question is "What type of animal is Spiny Norman - a recurring character on the TV show Monty Python's Flying Circus?... a) a hedgehog; or b) a hamster?"
Round 8: Halloween Mix
10 questions with a general Halloween theme, such as "Name the first act to have a UK number one hit single with a song that had the word "ghost" in its title."
This pub quiz pack is made up of six separate files as follows...
First of all, there is a two-page answer sheet that you can print out and hand out to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round-by-round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all of the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.
Secondly, there is the picture round. Again you can print this out and hand it out to teams at the start of your quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on it throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.
Next, there is a six-page document with all of the questions in rounds two to eight for you to read out, along with all the answers to these and the answers to the handout round. This also features two tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score, along with a set of substitute questions to help you tailor the difficulty level of your quiz.
There is also another version of this document, but with all of the answers removed. This may not be needed, but it is included in case the quizmaster would like to take part in the quiz too.
Next, there is a four-page document with instructions and advice on how to run a great quiz.
Finally, there is a quizmaster's scoresheet to help keep track of teams' scores.
If you buy this quiz, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. These will contain all of the material described above. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
