Cryptic 2012
This pub quiz handout round is split into 5 sections, all of which involve teams trying to decipher cryptic clues and all of which are themed around the year 2012 , and so this round is particularly suitable for quizzes run towards the end of 2012 or in early 2013.
The first section features 3 cryptic clues that teams have to try to decipher and come up with the titles of films released in 2012. For example, the correct answer to "black chess piece gets up" is The Dark Knight Rises.
The answers to the 3 cryptic clues in the second section are all British football teams who were promoted in 2012.
The third section features 3 cryptic clues for teams to decipher and come up with the names of famous people who died in 2012.
The fourth section features 3 cryptic clues where the aim is to come up with the titles of number one hit singles from the year.
Finally, the fifth section features 3 cryptic clues for teams to decipher and come up with the titles of TV shows that were cancelled and broadcast for the last time in 2012.
