This pub quiz handout round lists the names of 20 Cheltenham Gold Cup-winning horses, but without the last words of these names. The years the horses won the Cheltenham Gold Cup are also given, so clues take the form "1989 - Desert", "2022 - A Plus", etc.

The words needed to complete the names of these horses are given in a mixed order and the aim for teams is to correctly match them up.

This round is likely to favour teams with a good knowledge of horse racing, however, a few of these horses have names that are well known or are a common phrase, so all teams should be able to score some points in this round.

While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round.
