This handout round features 20 different names for collectors (e.g. "philatelist") along with a list of the 20 different things they would collect (e.g. "stamps") and the aim for teams in your quiz is to match up the correct items to the correct collector names.
Several of these are fairly easy so all teams should be able to get up and running quickly with this, and while there are lots of collectors names that people may not be familiar with, there should be quite a few that teams are able to work out by looking at the first part of the name. For example, teams may be unfamiliar with the word "bibliophile", but they may know that the prefix "biblio" is concerned with books so they can come to the conclusion that a bibliophile is a collector of books. There are, however, a few collectors names which are unlikely to be known by many people at all (e.g. "tegestologist"), so teams may have to use deduction and guess work to complete this round.
While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round. If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
