This pub quiz handout round lists ten local radio stations, including Radio Aire, Minster FM and Silk 106.9. Choosing from a mixed up list, the aim for teams is to work out where they are based. For example, Macclesfield should be matched to Silk 106.9, which was named in reference to Macclesfield's history of producing silk. As this example shows, this round isn't a test of teams' knowledge on local radio stations, but is a test on whether teams' can work out why these radio stations were named as they are.
The information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets), but it is presented so that it can also be used as a handout round. You can find more information on handout rounds and our recommended use for them in quizzes on our handout rounds page.
If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
