Lyrics - 2008

This pub quiz handout round features 15 extracts of lyrics from famous songs, all of which were top ten hits in the UK in 2008. The aim for teams in your quiz is to identify the titles and artists.

A number of these lyrics should be fairly easy to identify, so teams should be able to get up and running in this quiz round fairly quickly. However, there are also some lyrics that may take a fair bit of puzzling over before arriving at the right answer and there are likely to be a few where people will recognise the lyrics, but are not able to place them in a song!

These lyrics could be used to make up standard question and answer quiz rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
