This pub quiz handout round is based around a poll where members of the public were given a list of British laws still in existence and were asked to choose the most ludicrous. The top ten most ludicrous laws are given along with ten that are made up and the aim for teams in your quiz is to identify which are genuine. An example statement that teams will be be given and have to work out if it is genuine or made up is... "It is illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament in a suit of armour".
A lot of guesswork is likely to be required in this round, so if you have the problem of the same few teams winning each quiz you run, then introducing a round like this should help to mix things up a bit.
While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round. If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
