This pub quiz handout round features 15 extracts of lyrics for teams in your quiz to try to work out which hit singles they are taken from. To help teams identify these song titles, each correct song title contains a day of the week. For example, the answer to "And he can see no reasons 'cause there are no reasons" is I Don't Like Mondays, which was a hit single for The Boomtown Rats.

A few of these lyrics are likely to be instantly recognisable to most teams in your quiz, however, some are likely to keep teams guessing for some time.

The information in this quiz round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that this is used as a handout round.
