This pub quiz handout round lists 15 different nationalities. For each of these, the aim for teams in your quiz is to name the first footballer of that nationality to win an English Premier League winners medal. The seasons in which these were won are given in brackets to help, so the correct answer to Denmark (1992-93) would be Peter Schmeichel.
This round is likely to prove difficult for teams who don't follow football, but they should still be able to get a few answers correct and teams with a good knowledge of football may still struggle over a few of the trickier clues, such as Spain (2003-04) and Netherlands (1996-97), but are likely to score better overall, so if you have a problem with the same few teams winning your quiz every week, then adding a specialised round like this one to your quiz may help to mix things up a bit.
While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round. If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
