This pub quiz handout round features 20 phrases that are associated with particular numbers in bingo calling. The aim for teams in your quiz is to work out what each of these numbers are. For example, the correct answer to "Dancing Queen" is "17" (referring to the age of the "dancing queen" in the hit song by Abba). Note that in each case, the reasoning for each phrase being associated with each number is given along with the answers for information.

A few of these phrases should be well known to most teams to ensure that everyone can get going quickly on this round, however there are quite a few less well known phrases and some lateral thinking may be required to arrive at the correct answer.

These phrases could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
