This pub quiz handout round features 15 quotes from the year 2009, with the aim for teams being to identify who said them. For example, the correct answer to "I know what they were thinking, but why should it matter as long as I can sing? It’s not a beauty contest" is Susan Boyle.

For a few of these it should be fairly obvious who said them, so teams should be able to get up and running on this round quickly. There are also a number of quotes that may not be so well known, but that contain clues to help teams deduce who might have said them. There are also a few quotes that might prove difficult to figure out who might have said them, so teams may need to use some guesswork to complete the round.

These quotes could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used in a pub quiz as a handout round.
