Summaries of ten stories reported in the news on or around April Fool’s Day in 2021, where the aim for teams is to say whether each one is a genuine story or an April Fools’ joke.

Cookbooks
Ten titles of cookbooks, with the aim being to name their authors.

Best Picture Unnamed Characters
Ten sets of unnamed characters (e.g. "BBC Radio Announcer; Footman; Butler") who appear in the credits of Best Picture Oscar-winning films, with the aim for teams being to name the films.

What Happened First?
Ten pairs of events, with the aim in each case being to say which one happened first.

Song Title Brackets
Ten bracketed parts of UK hit singles, with the aim for teams being to name the main parts.

As these quiz rounds are shorter than a typical quiz round, they can be helpful to help keep things moving along in your quiz.

We recommend that you only use one of these rounds in each quiz you do, and that the rest of your quiz is made up of handout rounds, plus other types of question and answer rounds.
