Handout Round - Quotes of 2011
This round features 15 quotes spoken during 2011, such as "I would take them outside and execute them in front of their families". The aim for teams in your quiz is to name the famous people responsible for them.
Round 2 - In The News
This round features 10 questions on stories that made headlines in 2011, such as "In which country did a revolution force President Hosni Mubarak to resign after almost 30 years in power?"
Round 3 - Connections
This round features 7 general knowledge questions, plus a final question, worth 3 points, asking for a 2011 related connection between the first 7 answers.
Round 4 - Which Month?
This round features 10 questions, each of which is asking for a month of 2011 in which a particular event took place. For example, "In which month did Barack Obama announce the death of Osama Bin Laden?"
Round 5 - Entertainment
10 questions on TV, films and music from 2011, such as "Ben Drew won the Best British Male award at the BRITs in 2011. What is his stage name?".
Round 6 - Initial Letter Link
This round features 10 questions on 2011 where the answer to the last question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of the first 9 answers.
Round 7 - 50 / 50
The final round features 10 questions events from 2010, where each question provides teams with 2 possible answers for them to choose between. For example, "In the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, Blue represented the United Kingdom and Jedward represented Ireland. Which act finished higher?"
The pub quiz quiz pack is made up of 4 separate files as follows...
First of all there is a professionally designed 2 page answer sheet, which you can print out and distribute to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.
Secondly, there is a handout round, which again is to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.
Next there is a 5 page question and answer document, featuring all of the questions for you to read out during the quiz, along with all the answers to these plus the answers to the handout round. This also features 2 tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score.
Finally, there is a 4 page sheet featuring detailed round by round instructions and notes, plus general advice and recommendations on running the quiz.
