This pub quiz handout round lists 15 events, such as "Margaret Thatcher became leader of the Conservative Party", "John Lennon was shot dead" and "Maradona scored his famous hand of God goal". The names of 15 well known TV shows are also shown, and the aim for teams is to match these up to the events that took place in the years in which the TV shows were first broadcast.
For example, "Fawlty Towers", which was first broadcast in 1975, should be matched to "Margaret Thatcher became leader of the Conservative Party", which occurred in 1975.
While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round.
