Another in our series of popular story rounds, this pub quiz handout round features a story with a 20 blanks. The aim for teams in your quiz is to make the story readable by filling in these blanks with the most suitable names of TV shows.
For example the line "There might be _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ on the pitch, but I'm sure it will still be playable" can be completed by adding the TV show A Touch Of Frost.
There are 20 gaps in total, so 20 TV shows that need to be entered, and as always there should be a few nice and easy ones to get teams up and running. There are, however, some which aren't so easy and a few where a bit of lateral thinking may be required, but where you can be guaranteed that people will get plenty of satisfication if they manage to complete them.
It is recommended that this story is used in a quiz as a handout round, and that a considerable amount of time is given so that all the teams in your quiz can enjoy this round fully. For more information on handout rounds and our recommended use for them in quizzes click here
Please note that this handout round also appears in Weekly Quiz 103. If you would prefer to purchase our pre-compiled full weekly quizzes, then click here, where you can find quizzes with a handout round, 2 rounds on general subjects, a specialist subject round, a connections round, an initial letter link round, and a stick or twist round, as well as professionally designed answer sheets and full instructions on how to run your quiz. If, however, you prefer to use your own format for your quizzes, then this handout round should help towards creating an entertaining and challenging quiz.
If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
