This complete pub quiz pack is themed around Valentine's Day and is made up of 8 high quality rounds as follows...
Round 1: Movie Kisses
This picture round features still shots of kisses from 15 films. The aim for teams in your quiz is to name the films.
Round 2: Dating
10 questions on dating, such as "With over 150 million registered users worldwide, what is the name of the online dating service that has the web address pof.com?"
Round 3: Connections
2 sets of questions on General Knowledge, plus questions 5 and 10 that each asking for a romantically-themed connection between the previous 4 answers.
Round 4: Points Builder
4 Valentine's Day themed questions, where question 1 requires 1 answer, question 2 requires 2 answers, and so on, and where each individual answer is worth 1 point.
Round 5: Love Letters
10 questions themed around “love”, where the answer to the final question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of the 10 words in the first 9 answers.
Round 6: Literary Lovers
10 questions on lovers from literature, such as "In which 1847 novel does the title character fall in love with Mr. Rochester?".
Round 7: Roses and Red, Violets are Blues
A list of 10 things, such as "the blade of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber in the film Star Wars". In each case, the aim for teams is to say whether it is red or blue.
Round 8: Valentine's Day Mix
10 questions with a Valentine's Day theme.
The pub quiz quiz pack is made up of 6 separate files as follows...
First of all there is a professionally designed 2 page answer sheet that you can print out and hand out to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.
Secondly, there is the handout round, which again is to be printed out and handed out to teams at the start of the quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.
Next there is a 6 page sheet with all the questions in rounds 2 to 8 for you to read out during the quiz, along with all the answers to these plus the answers to the handout round to be used at the end of the quiz to mark everyone's answers. This also features 2 tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score, along with a set of substitute questions to help you tailor the difficulty level of your quiz.
There is also another version of this 6 page sheet, but where all of the answers have been removed. This may not be needed, but is included in case the quiz-master would like to take part in the quiz too.
Next, there is a 4 page sheet with instructions and advice on how to run a great quiz.
Finally, there is a quizmaster's scoresheet to help keep track of teams' scores.
