Weekly Quiz 436 - January 4th 2015

This complete pub quiz pack is made up of 8 high quality rounds as follows...

Round 1: Crime
This handout round is split into 3 sections, all themed around the subject of crime. The first section features 5 still shots from BBC crime dramas and the aim for teams is to name them, the second section features 5 cryptic clues for teams to decipher and come up with the titles of crime films, and the aim of the final section is to name 5 famous people from their police mugshots.

Round 2: General Subject
10 questions on Art and Literature.

Round 3: Connections
2 sets of 4 questions on General Knowledge, with questions 5 and 10 each asking for a connection between the previous 4 answers.

Round 4: Specialist Subject
10 questions on the year 2015.

Round 5: Points Builder
4 questions, where question 1 requires 1 answer, question 2 requires 2 answers, and so on. Each individual answer is worth 1 point.

Round 6: Number Trail
10 questions on General Knowledge where each correct answer contains a number and where the number in each answer is greater than the number in the previous answer.

Round 7: General Subject
10 questions on Science and Nature.

Round 8: Initial Letter Link
10 general knowledge questions where the answer to the final question can be spelt out by rearranging the first letters of the first 9 answers.

The pub quiz quiz pack is made up of 5 separate files as follows...

First of all there is a professionally designed 2 page answer sheet, which is to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round by round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.

Secondly, there is a handout round, which again is to be printed out and distributed to each team at the start of the quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.

Next there is a 5 page sheet featuring all the questions in rounds 2 to 8 for you to read out during the quiz, along with all the answers to these plus the answers to the handout round to be used at the end of the quiz to mark everyone's answers. This also features 2 tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score.

There is also another version of this 5 page sheet, but where all of the answers have been removed. This may not be needed, but is included in case the quiz-master would like to take part in the quiz too.

Finally, there is a 4 page sheet featuring detailed round by round instructions and notes, plus general advice and recommendations on running the quiz.
