New for 2024, this complete pub quiz pack was compiled with a Halloween theme throughout, so is especially suitable for quizzes run on or around October 31st. It features eight high-quality rounds as follows...
Round 1: Celebrity Clowns
A picture round featuring photos of 15 celebrities for teams to identify, but where the celebrities are more difficult to recognise than usual as they have all had some clown make-up added to them.
Round 2: Horror Stories
Ten questions on literature with a Halloween-theme, such as "Unsuspecting Hearts, Her Mother Should Have Told Her, and The Destruction are all songs from a musical based on which horror novel by Stephen King?"
Round 3: Connections
Two sets of four questions on General Knowledge, plus questions asking for a Halloween-related connection between the answers in each set.
Round 4: Halloween Spells
Ten questions with a general Halloween theme, but where only the correct spelling of the answer will be accepted as correct. An example question is "In the lyrics of the Queen song Bohemian Rhapsody, who has a devil put aside for me?"
Round 5: Hell
Ten General Knowledge questions themed around the word "hell", such as "What word for a large fire that is out of control means 'hell' in Italian?"
Round 6: Ghosts
Ten questions on ghosts, including "The sequel to which 1988 film was released in 2024 with the tagline "the ghost with the most is back"?"
Round 7: Trick Or Treat
Ten questions on General Knowledge that each have two answers to choose from. In each case, one answer might seem obvious, but it might not be the correct answer. An example question is "In which country would you find Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport?... a) the United States; or b) Samoa?"
Round 8: Halloween Mix
10 questions with a general Halloween theme, such as "In which Quentin Tarantino film is actor Tim Roth credited with playing a character called Pumpkin?"
This pub quiz pack is made up of six separate files as follows...
First of all, there is a two-page answer sheet that you can print out and hand out to each team at the start of the quiz for them to write their answers on as you read out questions. This also features a round-by-round scoresheet to make it easy to see how each team has performed after all of the answers have been marked at the end of the quiz.
Secondly, there is the picture round. Again you can print this out and hand it out to teams at the start of your quiz for them to work on straight away, and carry on working on it throughout the quiz and during any breaks you have.
Next, there is a six-page document with all of the questions in rounds two to eight for you to read out, along with all the answers to these and the answers to the handout round. This also features two tie-break questions to be used at the end of your quiz if two or more teams end up with the same score, along with a set of substitute questions to help you tailor the difficulty level of your quiz.
There is also another version of this document, but with all of the answers removed. This may not be needed, but it is included in case the quizmaster would like to take part in the quiz too.
Next, there is a four-page document with instructions and advice on how to run a great quiz.
Finally, there is a quizmaster's scoresheet to help keep track of teams' scores.
If you buy this quiz, we will give you access to PDF files you can download. These will contain all of the material described above. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
