Lyrics - Animals

This pub quiz handout round features 20 extracts of lyrics from famous songs, all of which have animals in their title. The aim is to identify the title of the song along with the acts who first had top ten hits with them (e.g. the correct answer to "I'm gonna hit the highway like a battering ram" is "Bat Out Of Hell" by Meat Loaf).

A number of these lyrics should be fairly easy to identify, so teams should be able to get up and running on this round fairly quickly. However, there are also some lyrics that may take a fair bit of puzzling over before arriving at the right answer and there are likely to be a few where people will recognise the lyrics, but are not able to place them in a song!

These lyrics could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
