Football Team Sponsors

This quiz round features a list of the 20 Premier League football teams from season 2007/08 along with a mixed up list of the companies who sponsor them. The aim for teams in your quiz is to match them all up correctly.

While this round may be of less appeal to people who aren't interested in football, there should be a few answers here that are fairly obvious (e.g. Derby are sponsored by Derbyshire Building Society!) to make sure that all teams get up and running and there are some where knowledge outside of football will help (e.g. if teams know where the company Northern Rock is based then this will provide the correct answer to the team they sponsor). There are also a few less well known shirt sponsors (e.g. XL Airways, Bet 24, etc.), so even teams with football fans amongst them may have to use some guesswork to get full marks in this round.

While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round.
