This pub quiz handout round features ten Venn diagrams. Each diagram consists of two overlapping circles, with each circle representing a mystery category. Three words, names, or phrases belonging to each category are given in the non-overlapping sections. For each diagram, teams must identify the only word, name, or phrase that could go in the overlapping section, meaning it belongs to both categories.

For example, in one of the easier diagrams, one circle contains “Beetle”, “Tiguan”, and “Polo”, while the other contains “Mike”, “Oscar”, and “Kilo”. The two categories are Volkswagen car models and words from the NATO phonetic alphabet. The only answer that could go in the overlapping section is “Golf”, as it belongs to both categories.

The information in this round could be used to make up standard question-and-answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets), but it is presented so that it can also be used as a handout round.
