Country Sizes

This pub quiz handout round features the names of 20 countries from around the world (Italy, New Zealand, Uruguay, etc.). 10 of these 20 countries cover an area larger than that of the United Kingdom, while 10 are smaller. The aim for teams in your quiz is to identify the 10 that are larger by crossing out the 10 that are smaller.

A lot of guesswork is likely to be required in this round, so if you have the problem of the same few teams winning each quiz you run, then introducing a round like this should help to mix things up a bit.

While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round.
