Pop Divas

This quiz round features a list of 10 famous female singers (Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey, etc), a list of their years of birth in a mixed order, and a list of facts about the singers (eg. "Her third album is the world’s biggest selling album ever by a female artist ever") also in a mixed order. The aim of the round is to match up the years of birth and facts to the correct singers.

The facts here were carefully chosen so that for each one it is unlikely to be obvious to which singer they belong, but that it is obvious that there are a few singers on the list that it is very unlikely to belong to. This means that as well as testing people's knowledge in the world of music, it will also test their powers of deduction as they try to to match each fact with the correct singer.

While the information in this round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds (where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and the teams write the answers on blank answer sheets) it is recommended that this is used in a quiz as a handout round as it is likely to keep people occupied and entertained for a reasonable length of time.
