This pub quiz handout round features 15 quotes from the year 2011, with the aim for teams being to identify who said them. For example, the correct answer to "I'm afraid I have to warn you that I'm experiencing stirrings, somewhere in the upper abdominals, which are threatening to form themselves into dance moves." is Colin Firth as this quote was taken from his acceptance speech for his 2011 Oscar win for Best Actor.
For a few of these it should be fairly obvious who said them, so teams should be able to get up and running on this round quickly, but there are a number of quotes that may not be so well known, but that contain clues to help teams deduce who might have said them. There are also a few quotes that might prove difficult to figure out who might have said them, so teams may have to rely on a few guesses to complete the round.
These quotes could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used in a pub quiz as a handout round. Please note that this handout round also appears in the complete pub quiz pack Review Of The Year 2011 along with question and answer rounds all themed around the same year, specially designed answer sheets for teams to write their answers on and instructions and advice for running your quiz.
If you buy this handout round, we will give you access to pdf files you can download. Two of these will be for the main handout sheet - one as illustrated above, and one in a more plain format. The third sheet will contain the answers. You probably already have everything you need to access and use these rounds in your quiz, but you might want to check our requirements page to make sure.
