This pub quiz handout round features 15 extracts of lyrics from famous songs, all of which were top 20 hits in the UK in 2011. The aim for teams in your quiz is to name these songs along with the acts who had hits with them. For example, the correct answer to "Why is everybody so serious, acting so damn mysterious?" is Price Tag by Jessie J.

Teams should be able to identify a few song titles and acts without too much trouble, however, there some lyrics may take a fair bit of puzzling over before arriving at the right answer, so this round should keep teams guessing for some time.

These lyrics could be used to make up standard question and answer quiz rounds, where the quiz-master asks questions aloud, and the teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
