This pub quiz handout round features details of the backgrounds behind 10 famous number one hit singles (what the song is about, who it was written for, etc.) Given this information, the aim for teams in your quiz is work out the titles of the songs. For example, the answer to "based on the true story of Moody Blues vocalist Justin Hayward getting lost in Jamaica" is "Dreadlock Holiday", which was a number one hit single in 1978 for 10cc.

The information in this handout round could be used to make up standard question and answer rounds where the quiz-master asks questions aloud and teams write their answers on blank answer sheets, but we recommended that they are used as a handout round.
